If I asked you why you don’t buy more organic food many of you would probably say, “It’s too expensive”. I agree with you. Shopping for organic foods is expensive. In the past few months since I began shopping for organics I’ve had to readjust my budget and at times eliminate other grocery items off my list just to buy more organic items. Despite this the prices are digging deep into my pockets.
It was the gallon of organic milk I bought last week that set me over the edge. As much as I want to go organic how can I afford to do it? Is it really worth it if I’m always juggling the budget? So what if it taste better! So what if it’s healthier!
Then the same day I bought the organic gallon of milk I gave a cup of milk to each of my children and as I watched them gulp it down I felt this sense of satisfaction fill up inside me. They were actually drinking a glass of milk that had no hormones and was produced without pesticides. I love that!
I realized then and there that I had to continue on my organic quest, but I had to find a way to do it without going broke. I searched and I found plenty of ways. Clipping coupons is just one of the ways. Yes, even organic food can be bought with coupons and they aren’t as hard to find as you would think.
In Print. The first places to look, of course, are in the: Sunday newspaper, neighborhood newspaper, grocery newsletter, neighborhood newsletter and so on…. There are not many available now, but the more we use them the more they’ll be in demand and the more there will be available in the near future.
Online: Go directly to the organic manufactures website and see if they offer any coupons. If they don’t offer coupons online go to their contact information and call their customer service line or email them and ask them for coupon or possible discounts. You will be surprised at how many manufactures are willing to send you coupons. Remember too that some manufactures produce non-organic as well as organic foods so try these websites too.
